The FN Five-seveN is a single action, polymer framed, internal hammer fired pistol chambered in 5.7x28mm. This unique pistol was developed in the late 90s as a companion to FNs popular P90 rifle in response to a NATO request for a more capable alternative to the 9mm cartridge and the pistols or sub-machine guns that use it. The small, light weight 5.7x28 round used by the Five-seveN travels at around 2000 feet per second, giving the projectile a flat trajectory for greater long range accuracy and allowing it to penetrate body armor with the proper ammunition (sold to law enforcement and military only). As an added bonus, the small size of the 5.7x28 round leads to larger magazine capacity. One of the most innovative handguns brought to market in the past thirty years, the light weight Five-seveN features a cold hammer forged, stainless steel, chrome lined barrel, a polymer encased metal slide and polymer frame with an amazing 20 round capacity. This pistol comes with adjustable 3 dot sights, a forward mounted, ambidextrous safety, reversible magazine release and accessory rail for weapon lights or lasers. The Five seveN’s characteristic low recoil makes it easy to control and allows for fast follow up shots. The FN Five-seveN delivers an amazing shooting experience.
