The MCX platform has long been SIG SAUER'S breeding ground for developing the best rifle system in the world through extensive testing, continued innovation and customer feedback. The Sig Sauer MCX-Spear is Sig Sauer's submission to the U.S. Army Next Generation Squad Weapon Program - a program intended to replace the current M4A1. This advanced AR-Platform comes fully equipped with a wide array of Sig exclusive features and user-friendly designs. The Sig Sauer MCX-Spear is outfitted with fully ambidextrous controls including the safety and bolt release, as well as two non-reciprocating charging handles, one mounted on the left side and one at the rear.

The Sig Sauer MCX-Spear 7.62X51 is a high-performance firearm that is designed for tactical use. This 16B version is the civilian version of the U.S. Army's XM7 rifle and features a 16" barrel and a folding stock, making it easy to maneuver in tight spaces. It is chambered for 7.62X51 NATO cartridges which provide excellent stopping power and accuracy, making it an ideal choice for law enforcement and military applications. The non-reciprocating side and rear charging handles allow for both maximum flexibility in shooting positions, and optics capability. The MCX-Spear also features a modular design, allowing for easy customization and adaptability to different situations. The ability to fold it sideways means your rail mounted optics are still available while operating the rifle in the folded position. The rifle also has integrated stainless steel QD mounts in the lower receiver for easy, secure attachment of slings.

This 16B (16" barrel) version includes a SIG SAUER SLH/SLX suppressor-ready QD mount flash-hider and a 2-position adjustable gas valve for suppressed or unsuppressed use. The Spear also features the Matchlite Duo Trigger for a clean, crisp break and a folding 6-position Magpul SL-M stock. It ships with one 20 round SR-25 type magazine.
